I've been feeling sort of dissatisfied with my art for a couple of weeks. I typically go through stages like this. I want to make a new comic. Not for print, just for web, and designed to make the most of that format. Small, simple pages that I can update regularly, and probably use of animated gifs and stuff. So yesterday I polished off the first storyarc of Fan Dan Go. Ninety full colour pages and three covers complete! Feeling pretty happy about it, even though it took me longer than I would have liked. Things I've learned from this:

The interesting thing about drawing, and simultaneously the most wonderful and the most frustrating thing, is that there is always something new to learn. There's no point at which a person can go 'oh well, now I know ALL OF ART' and be from thereon a level 100 artist with 255 in all their stats and no possibility of being any better.
